Driven by my daughter, Elise's childishly simple demand, 'Mummy, let's make this a real book!', I embarked on a journey to turn their stories into books we could hold in our hands and have on our bookshelf. Inspired to show my children that hard work and dedication can bring dreams to life, I spent several months learning digital illustration (and I continue to learn!). It's been really fun and I've discovered a new passion project in creating vibrant imagery and enchanting little characters.

My deep-rooted love for storytelling traces back to my own cherished childhood experiences. Fond memories of snuggling in my mum's lap with my sister and brother, captivated by stories, ignited my passion for literature and art from an early age. From the cozy confines of home to the adventures found within the pages of books, I was hooked by the magic of storytelling. As a teenager, I could often be found hiding under my doona cover with a torch to finish that last chapter - long after bedtime! Even now that I'm a grown-up, I often read far past my bedtime once I'm hooked on a book.
